If you look down on the bottom of the right sidebar, you will find the buddy wall is now open and ready for posting.  The buddy wall is made for you to blow off some steam if something is bothering you. Basically imagine it as a bathroom wall and you want to write random rants about life.  Now please don’t be too offensive but other than that, I will leave it to say whatever you want about this town, your job or me.

The weather this weekend looks like it going to be a nice start to May.

For the record, the dollar fish tacos are actually quite tasty and the pbr’s wash them down very nicely.  But you better get out there early because if it is nice outside they have been known to run out of fish tacos.

I would try to explain what this concert will be like tonight but I think triumph explains it better.

Some of this years Cinco de Mayo parties had to be rescheduled to Tres de Mayo because the calender unfortunately didn’t cooperate with our favorite drinking days. One party here in Atlanta, Spiral Entertainment’s Tres de Mayo Party, also decided that not only did the date needed to be changed, but also the tradition of celebrating at a Mexican restaurant.  So this years Tres de Mayo by Spiral Entertainment will be located…(drumroll please)….wait for it……a creole themed restuarant! Ahh snap! Take that Mexico.  Thanks to Spiral Entertainment, we can now not only celebrate Mexican independence on a Saturday but I can also pad my boozed filled stomach with gumbo at the same time.  Now that is what I call a happy Tres de Mayo! They will have tequila shots though.

Tres de Mayo Party

500 songs for Kids is an annual ten day, five hundred band, five hundred song extravaganza at Smiths Olde Bar. In its second year, 500 songs for Kids knocked off the top five hundred songs of all time at last years event and this year will be performing the top 500 sing alongs of all time. The event is amazing to watch as bands pound through 5o songs a night with some that are memorable and some that are absolutely terrible. While performers are not released before each night, last year performers included Pete Yorn, Butch Walker, the Whigs and 497 more. Advance tickets don’t appear to be on sale but remember you can always buy tickets at the downstairs bar of Smith’s on the day of the show. I highlighly recommend checking this event out some time during its ten day run and warm up those vocal chords because you might get the urge to sing along.
