Steamhouse Lounge reopening in Midtown in July

After falling victim to the Buckhead renovation project, Steamhouse Lounge has annouced that it will be reopening in Midtown in July. The location, 1050 West Peachtree, will include the original bar, tables and booths inside the two-level, 100 year-old house, wrap-around outdoor deck seating shaded by a 200 year-old oak tree and patio dining complete with a palm tree and outdoor bar. We will keep you updated about when we hear a more exact date on it’s reopening.

So a man walks into the chop house wearing a shirt this covered in martini glasses. He walks up to the bar and to his dismay there is man ordering a drink with the exact same shirt but with bloody mary glasses printed on it. He begins to worry, thinking how pathetic it looks that him and this other guy have almost identical shirts on. Then as the bartender reaches out and gives the bloody mary man a beer, the martini man is suddenly relieved. He is now knows that he has solidified himself as the only man in this bar with a shirt with liquor printed all over his shirt and a hurricane in a three foot high neon plastic bottle. He is now ready to find some ladies….

Cruising through the Costco last night, I found some bottles of wine that were interestingly stamped with the names and images of some of our favorite Atlanta Braves, Tom Glavine, Chipper Jones and Brian McCann. Following my curiosity and stupidity, I picked up a bottle of Cabernet Glavingnon. I paid $9.99 for the bottle and in return I got an aftertaste that bit harder than a Tom Glavine curve ball. While the proceeds go to charity, I think I would rather of written a check directly to the charity than drink that wine again. Follow the link to find out more about these wines.

NBA Finals start tonight - WSB Atlanta - Coverage starts at 8:30pm

Tonight is the start of the NBA Finals with the Los Angeles Lakers matching up against the Boston Celtics. The finals will be shown on ABC, which means to tune in to WSB here in Atlanta, at 8:30 for pregame coverage and 9pm for tip off. This should be an amazing series, one that is reminiscent of the great 80’s Magic versus Bird finals. Enjoy the games.

Sighted: A man, a pig, j-walking in Midtown

The man walking a pig in Atlanta is not that much of a shock to me. Atlanta is really only a few steps away from the country and just as in Crocadile Dundee II, so sometimes the country moves to the city. What really bothers me about this video is that the man is j-walking his pig. Pigs have short legs and are not very nimble, both of which do not suit well for sprinting away from speeding cars. This is just dangerous, unless he was planning to make a nice sandwich.

Thanks to Google, we can see what keywords people who come to our site through search engines typed in. Most are pretty normal like “east atlanta beer festival,” “buddyfeed” or other keywords related to random events or posts that we cover. But today, we got a person who came to the site through the keyword, “where can I get naked in Atlanta.” Wow, that’s a first. I checked and I can’t find us on the first few pages of the search results, so this man or women must have really been looking for hottest spot to show off some of the naughty bits. Here at buddyfeed, we want to help all people find what they are looking for in Atlanta, but unfortunately none of us are nudiests and don’t have any suggestions that would be accurate. So, while we can’t help you find a place to let your boys or girls free, we do want to welcome you to read buddyfeed naked anytime you want and with any amount of clothing that you want. buddyfeed says: In years past, 99x’s Unplugged in the Park has been a place to see incredible bands play acoustic sets in an incredibly small venue. Shows such as Ben Kweller, Band of Horses, and Pete Yorn have made in past years this one best events of the summer. At first glance at the list of bands is ok, but none of them have the mass appeal that some bands in the past did. But it’s early and there are still a lot of dates to fill, so maybe we will be pleasantly surprised. Even if the lineup remains unchanged, I still highly recommend the event because there are not many places where you can go in Atlanta and get a free show on a Sunday in a place with as nice of a view as Park Tavern. As a note, one thing has changed since last year’ Unplugged in the Park. 99x, the organizer and promoter of last years event, is no longer a terrestrial radio station, instead now broadcasting online only and have decided to team up with Rock 100.5 to co-promoted the event. Who knows if this will have any effect on the types of band but we will just have to wait and see. Enjoy the shows.

Old School Atlanta Shows - Nirvana live at the Masquerade in Atlanta- 1990 - School

This is pre-Nevermind Nirvana rocking it out at the Masquerade here in Atlanta. In the video, they are playing “School” off their first album “Bleach.” It makes you think, how many people at that show ever thought that this band would become as big as they did. My guess is not many.

There is one thing in Atlanta that might smell worse than your toliet…your water.
